Leadership and community service

In Year 1-6 students are motivated to take responsibility for their thoughts, actions and behaviour. This helps develop sound leadership skills and teaches students to respond to the environment and community around them. Developing these skills at an early age builds resilience and compassion for others.

Taking on greater responsibility

There are a number of leadership roles available to students in their early years at school. Class leaders are elected from Year 3-6, providing students the opportunity to take on new responsibilities, practice communicating with their peers and listening to one another.

Representing your house

House Leaders are elected in Year 6. These students take an active role in leading house activities, working alongside leaders in Year 7-10 and House Prefects.

Community Service

As part of our integrated approach to education, students are asked to take action as a result of their learning. This often means responding to a community need, focusing on raising awareness and funds for specific causes.
