We are excited to announce that we have combined the tuck shop and boarding house kitchen to bring students a fresh and more eco-friendly service! QM Café offers a range of hot and cold options alongside a reduced-packaging and environmentally-minded approach.

Queen Margaret College has committed to the 5-year Strategic Plan, of which one of the five Strategic Pathways is Sustainable Futures. QM Café will strive to uphold our Plan in a positive and efficient way to create a sustainable future for generations to come. Students are encouraged to bring in their own containers for service of meals, however eco-friendly disposables will be on offer for a small charge.

QM Café is open for morning tea and lunch from Monday to Friday in school term.

In addition to our daily hot and cold cabinet food, a hot buffet dish will be available from the Café. This will change daily, offering more variety and choice.

Water-Only School

Following the advice of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA), QM Café will not be selling sugary or sugar-sweetened beverages. This includes fizzy drinks, energy and sports drinks, powdered drinks, cordials and flavoured waters. Our milkshakes will also be made in-house so that we are able to control the ingredients. This will help improve and maintain the dental health of our students.

Kindo – Online ordering

Junior school parents can take advantage of the Kindo platform. This allows you to order your daughter’s lunch as late as 9am on the day. No cash, no paper, no hassle!

Registered Users; simply enter your email address and password to log in.

Payment options

Choose to pay-as-you-go using our instant top up options;

  • POLi – links to internet banking and is fee free
  • Credit/Debit Card – will incur 2.5% surcharge and a 50c fee

Or have regular payments topping up your Kindo account;

  • Bank transfer – allow two days for processing
