When applying for Scholarships we recommend you collate the following documentation before starting your application
Scholarship applications requirements:
- Evidence of age, identity and New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- A CV (a short written summary showing qualifications, interests, service, sporting or extra curricular achievements)
- A character reference
- Copies of your 2 most recent school reports
- Copies of Year 6-9 PAT and or e-asTTle test results (Please use this form to complete)
- Provide evidence of participation in either co-curricular activities, a service or leadership role, sporting excellence or cultural pursuits
- A simple passport style headshot to be provided as a jpeg or png file
- Attend the scholarship examination on Wed 15 May 2024
- If shortlisted attend an interview with the Principal
Year 7 to 10
Foundation Trust Scholarship
The Foundation Trust Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a commitment to living by the QMC values of generosity, resilience, respect, integrity and courage. You will be required to sit the Scholarship examination.
Eligibility criteria:
- Evidence of service
- Superior academic rigour
- Evidence of learning adventurously, engaging in a dynamic community, living sustainably, and collaborating in purposeful partnerships
- Ability to make a positive and significant contribution to the life of the school
- Active participation in co-curricular programs
- Consistent application to academic pursuits
- Have a collaborative mindset toward peers and educators
- Commitment to participate in a broad range of educational and school-related endeavours
- Willing to embrace the scope of opportunity on offer at QMC
- Be an ambassador of QMC while at school and beyond
Academic Scholarship
An Academic Scholarship is awarded to students who displays outstanding academic aptitude and ability. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity for talented academics to study in an environment that encourages and supports their passions and aspirations. Students must have the ability to contribute to the wider College life through their involvement and commitment to academia, service and leadership. You will be required to sit the Scholarship examination.
Eligibility criteria:
- Demonstrated academic excellence
- An exemplary work ethic
- Evidence of learning adventurously, engaging in a dynamic community, living sustainably, and collaborating in purposeful partnerships
- Ability to make a positive and significant contribution to the life of the school
- Ability to lead, mentor and support peers and the broader QMC community
- Active participation and achievement in co-curricular programs such as Sport or the Arts
Arts Scholarship
An Arts Scholarship is awarded to students who have proven excellence and aptitude for the arts. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity to study in an environment that encourages and supports their passion and talent to perform in, create, contribute to, and excel in the arts. You will be required to sit the Scholarship examination.

Sports Scholarship (Grow our Own)
A Sports Scholarship is awarded to students who have proven excellence in sports with national or regional representation or expecting to be soon. This scholarship is provided to allow the opportunity for a growing sport talent to study in an environment that encourages and grows their passion, talent and aspirations. You will not be required to sit an examination.

Tangata Whenua Scholarship
This Tangata Whenua Scholarship (for Māori as the indigenous people of Aotearoa) aims to promote access for Māori girls to a world-class education in a culturally inclusive college, allowing them to develop skills and confidence to take full advantage of the opportunities around them. You will not be required to sit an examination.
