The Pre-School teaching philosophy is premised on inquiry learning where the teachers engage girls in meaningful and purposeful programmes.
The New Zealand early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki in conjunction with the IB Primary Years Programme is delivered by well qualified teachers who know how to extend and challenge, drawing on children’s interests and allowing for individual strengths and abilities. The daily timetable allows for focussed group project work in addition to regular music, art, gym and library sessions.
Our teachers believe in early literacy and numeracy development and our programmes reflect this.
In order to prepare your daughter for our Junior School, she will participate in regular sessions with the new entrant teacher, focusing primarily on early literacy.
